Pricing research
Price from evidence, not a hunch
Pricing research puts your tiers, features, and bundles in front of the people who might buy them, and shows you what they value, in what order, and why.Paste your URL and Fiuto builds a free pricing study for you in minutes. No research experience required.
A preview player for a pricing study. It steps through the four blocks a respondent sees, and is paused on the third: a ranking of the product's features by how much they are worth paying for, mid-drag, with the Fiuto panel floating over the list holding the instruction.
What is pricing research?
Pricing research shows your actual tiers, features, or bundles to people who resemble your buyers and measures what they value, in what order, and why. It sits between guessing a number and running a live price test on traffic you do not have yet.
Asking people what they would pay gets you a guess, because they are guessing too. Asking them to rank features by how much they are worth paying extra for, or to sort features into the plans they expect to find them in, gets you a reliable order. That order is the evidence.
The result is not one right price. It is a ranked view of what carries weight for the people you are pricing for, with their reasons, so the number you pick is grounded in something more than an internal debate.
When to run oneRun one before a reprice or a new tier ships, while the structure is still a spreadsheet.
How Fiuto runs it for you
The whole loop, from a blank study to a readout, with nothing to learn first.
Fiuto writes the study
Paste your URL. Fiuto reads your pricing page, pulls out the tiers and features in play, and drafts a ranking study with a line for the reason behind the top choice. You review the draft before anything launches.
AI respondents go first
AI respondents rank the options straight away, so you have a first read on the order within minutes and can tighten the list before real buyers see it. Up to two of them can be AI experts in conversion, usability, copy or SEO, on every plan including Free.
Real people, recruited or your own
Describe the buyer you need and Fiuto recruits them for you, or share the link with your customers, waitlist, and community. Every run is labelled with who answered it.
Fiuto reads the results back
The average order across everyone, the reasons behind the top choice, and a takeaway with the quotes behind it. Findings, a readout, and a deck you can bring to the pricing conversation. Share it with as many collaborators as you like, and export the raw data as CSV or JSON on every plan including Free.
The methods behind it
Two of the 18 methods Fiuto runs. Each page opens on a URL field, so you can start from the method instead.
Frequently asked questions
01What is pricing research?
Pricing research means showing your actual price points, tiers, or feature bundles to people who might buy, then watching what they rank, choose, or say. It replaces a guess about willingness to pay with a signal from the people the price is aimed at.
02Should I ask people directly what they would pay?
A direct question is easy to answer inaccurately, because people are guessing too. Asking them to rank tiers, features, or bundles by value gives a more reliable order than asking them to invent a number.
03Do I need research experience to run pricing research?
No. Paste your URL and Fiuto writes the ranking study, runs it with AI respondents, recruits real buyers if you want them, and reads the results back into findings. You review each step before it launches.
04Does Fiuto recruit people for pricing research?
Yes. Describe the buyer you need and Fiuto recruits a matched panel for you. You can also share the study link with your own customers, waitlist, or community, and the two kinds of run stay labelled separately.
05How many people do I need for pricing research?
Enough to see a pattern repeat. A ranking exercise with a few dozen people from your actual audience usually surfaces a clear order. More people sharpen the signal; they do not change the method.
06Can I run pricing research before I have a live pricing page?
Yes. A ranking or card sort needs a list of tiers, features, or bundles, not a finished page. Many teams run pricing research on a plain description or a prototype before the real page exists.
07Can I combine pricing research with a card sort of features into tiers?
Yes. A common sequence is a card sort to shape which features belong in which tier, followed by a ranking question on the resulting tiers, so you validate both the grouping and the order in one study.
08Can I run this from my coding agent?
Yes. Fiuto's research assistant works in the app, over MCP from Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Lovable, v0, Replit and Bolt, and over the API. It creates, launches and reads back the study on every plan including Free.
09Is it free, and can I cancel?
The free plan needs no card: every method, 1 live study a month, 10 responses per study and 600 AI credits a month, with the AI included. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel any time from the billing page, with no sales call at any step.
10Does Fiuto run AI interviews?
AI interviews are an upcoming feature, in development now, and this page will list them the day they are out of alpha. Until then Fiuto runs unmoderated studies across 18 methods, with AI respondents first and real people after.
