AI interviews that ask the next question

The interviewer asks one question at a time and follows up on every answer. Run it beside your tests in one study, with no AI credits, on every plan.

An illustration of an AI interview: the interviewer refers back to an earlier answer and asks which part of scanning took longest, the respondent answers, the interviewer follows up, and the respondent answers again.

How an interview runs

You write the guide. The interviewer runs each conversation from it.

Respondents see only the questions it asks. Your goal, the interviewer's persona and the question list stay private.

  1. Write the guide

Say what the study should learn, write the opening question, and list the questions to cover. Mark the ones every interview must reach. Fiuto can draft the guide with the rest of the study.

  2. Set the length

Pick the most questions one interview asks, from 2 to 8, and how far it can dig into each answer, up to three follow-ups.

  3. Take it yourself

Preview the interview before anyone else sees it. Previews are free and never reach your results.

  4. Launch it

AI respondents go first and answer up to three questions each. Then real people, from the panel or your own link.

It knows what came before

An interview is one step of a study, so it can ask about the test someone has just taken.

One AI interview per study, before, after or between any of the eighteen methods.

It reads earlier answers

The interviewer sees what the person answered earlier in the study, so it asks about a choice they made instead of asking for it again.

Beside eighteen methods

Put a prototype test, a five-second test or a survey before it, and the interview asks about what just happened. One study, one link, one set of results.

In the study's language

The interviewer asks in the language the study is written in, so people answer in their own.

Read every interview by question

See how the interviews ended, how many reached each must-ask question, and every conversation in full.

Share the results with as many collaborators as you like, on every plan.

Must-ask questions reached

9 interviews: 7 completed, 2 ended early

  • Q1What stopped them scanning receipts?9 of 9
  • Q2What did they do instead?8 of 9
  • Q3What would bring them back?6 of 9

Word for word, by question

Every interview in full, each answer under the guide question it belongs to, with its follow-ups beneath it.

Out as CSV, JSON or MCP

Transcripts are in the exports and over MCP with the rest of the study, on every plan including Free.

No AI credits

Interviews use no AI credits, on every plan including Free.

Recruiting real people is paid per order, outside credits, as it is for any study.

No AI credits

An interview costs no credits. Your credits stay for drafting, AI respondents, findings and the deck.

Free previews

Take your own interview while you write the guide. Previews cost nothing and never count toward results.

People can stop

A respondent can end the interview at any point and carry on with the rest of the study. What they said is kept.

From your coding agent

Over MCP from Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Lovable, v0, Replit and Bolt, on every plan including Free.

Add it to a study

Your agent can put an AI interview in a study plan, guide and all, build it and launch it.

Read the summary

get_study_results returns how the interviews ended and how many reached each must-ask question.

Pull the transcripts

export_study_results returns every interview word for word, beside the guide it followed.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI interview?

A step in a Fiuto study where an AI interviewer talks with each respondent. It asks one question at a time, reads the answer, and picks what to ask next from a guide you write, following up where an answer needs it.

Are AI interviews spoken or typed?

Typed. The interviewer writes each question and the respondent types the answer. There is no voice or video.

How long is an interview?

You set it: from 2 to 8 questions, 8 by default, with up to three follow-ups on each guide question. Respondents are told the most questions it may ask, and it can end sooner.

Do AI interviews cost credits?

No. Interviews use no AI credits, on every plan including Free. Recruiting people from the panel is paid per order, as it is for any study.

Can AI respondents take the interview?

Yes. AI respondents answer up to three questions each, so you can check the guide gets useful answers before real people see it. Their run uses AI credits as usual.

Can I try the interview before I launch?

Yes. Preview it from the interview step and take it yourself, in a new tab. Previews are free and never count toward your results.

Do respondents see my guide?

No. They see the opening question and each question the interviewer asks. Your goal, the interviewer persona, the background and the question list stay private.

Can a study have more than one AI interview?

One per study. Put every question you want covered in its guide, and mark the ones each interview must reach.

Can I run an AI interview from my coding agent?

Yes. Over MCP from Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Lovable, v0, Replit and Bolt, your agent can add the interview to a study, launch it, and read the transcripts back, on every plan including Free.
