Fiuto vs Lyssna

Fiuto vs Lyssna: a fair, sourced comparison

Fiuto runs the whole research loop with AI, on every plan: drafting the study, analysing responses, and building the insights deck, with no tier gate and the same Anthropic Claude models on Free as on Pro. Build it from the coding agent you already use, over MCP, then test it with people you invited yourself: no recruited panel, no per-seat pricing. Lyssna (formerly UsabilityHub) positions itself as an all-in-one research platform: usability testing, surveys, interviews, and recruitment for individual practitioners through to enterprise teams, real breadth if you want it all under one roof.

Every claim about Lyssna below comes from Lyssna's own pricing page or a public review platform, checked on 27 July 2026.

How Fiuto and Lyssna compare

Both tools let you run usability studies without a research background. The differences show up in whose respondents you use, how far AI reaches into the study, and how many methods live under one roof.

Pricing, in more detail

Fiuto's free plan includes every test method, 1 live study a month, 10 responses per study, and 300 AI credits a month, no card required. Core is £19 a month, held from £39 at current launch pricing, with 3 live studies a month, 100 responses per study, and 3,000 AI credits a month. Pro is £49 a month, held from £99, with 10 live studies a month, unlimited responses per study, and 12,000 AI credits a month.

Lyssna's free plan covers 3 seats, unlimited quick studies, and 15 self-recruited test and survey responses a month. Growth is $165 a month for 5 seats, 5 in-depth studies a month, and unlimited quick studies and self-recruited responses. Enterprise pricing is custom, with unlimited seats and in-depth studies.

Lyssna's price is per seat: Growth's $165 a month covers 5 seats, about $33 a seat, before Enterprise custom pricing. Fiuto's £19 and £49 plans are flat per account, no matter how many people use it. Every Fiuto tier, including Free, also gets the full AI surface: drafting the study, analysing responses into findings, and building the insights deck. Plans differ in credit volume, response caps, and report depth: Core and Pro return more findings per study, and the cross-study overview opens up from Core. Every tier runs the same drafting, single-study analysis, and deck-building actions. The first single-study analysis costs nothing in credits, once per account. Templates give you a zero-credit way to start drafting before that.

Respondents and methods

Fiuto has one respondent path, by design: bring your own. No recruited panel to pay for, no per-seat pricing, no per-respondent fee. Invite as many of your own users as you want; how many responses each study collects still follows your plan. Results are readable in-app on every tier, and you can publish the study, its results, or its deck to as many viewers as you like; raw export, the API, and inviting someone in to edit open up from Core. Lyssna offers unlimited self-recruited responses on every plan, the same bring-your-own model Fiuto uses, plus a pay-per-use panel of over 690,000 people with more than 395 demographic filters when you need recruitment.

Lyssna's method list is broad: card sorting, first-click and five-second tests, live-site and prototype tasks, preference testing, screen recordings, surveys, tree testing, and moderated interviews, in one platform. Fiuto's method set centres on the forced-choice and ordering questions that turn a fuzzy opinion into a decision: ranking, card sorting, tree testing, matrix surveys, five-second impressions, first click, and preference testing, plus prototype and live-site tasks, each drafted from a plain-language brief rather than assembled question by question.

Why teams pick Fiuto over Lyssna

Lyssna's breadth is real: interviews, tree testing, screeners, and a large self-recruited and pay-per-use panel all live on one platform. Fiuto is narrower on purpose, and here's what separates it:

  • AI runs the whole loop, on every plan. Drafting the study, analysing responses, and building the insights deck all work on Free, running the same Anthropic Claude models Fiuto uses on Pro. Which model handles a task depends on the task, never on your tier. Lyssna's AI follow-ups and summaries start on the paid Growth plan.
  • It's built from your coding agent. Ask Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, v0, or Replit to draft and launch the study over MCP, instead of switching into a separate research tool.
  • Every response comes from someone you invited. No recruited panel to pay for, no per-seat pricing. Results are readable in-app on every tier; raw export and the API open up from Core.
  • The price is flat, not per seat. £19 and £49 a month, per account. Lyssna's Growth plan is $165 a month split across 5 seats, about $33 a seat before adding people or in-depth studies.
  • Sharing has no headcount limit. Publish a study, its results, its insights, or its deck behind a view-only link for as many people as you want. Only inviting someone in to edit needs a paid plan.
  • Your first study's analysis is free. Real responses turned into findings, at no cost in credits, once per account, on every tier including Free.
  • You can be live the same day. Say what you want to learn, review the drafted plan, and launch, instead of adding another seat to a shared plan first.
  • Your study data stays in the EU. Study data, recordings, and analytics run on EU-hosted infrastructure.
  • Method depth without suite pricing. Ranking, card sorting, tree testing, matrix surveys, five-second tests, first-click tests, and prototype or live-site tests, drafted from a plain brief instead of assembled question by question.

Who tends to fit which tool

Fiuto fits teams with their own audience

You already have users, customers, or a community to test with and want AI to draft the study from the start.

Fiuto fits coding-agent workflows

You're prototyping inside a coding agent already and want the study drafted there too, not in a separate tab.

Lyssna fits teams that want one platform for everything

You want usability testing, surveys, interviews, and recruitment together, without adding more tools.

Lyssna fits teams that need a recruited panel

You have no existing audience to test with and want pay-per-use access to one, with fine-grained filters.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

01Is Lyssna free to use?

Lyssna has a free plan: 3 seats, unlimited quick studies, and 15 self-recruited responses a month. Its paid Growth plan is $165 a month for 5 seats and 5 in-depth studies a month. Fiuto's free plan is £0 a month for 1 live study, 10 responses per study, and 300 AI credits a month. Lyssna's Growth plan works out to about $33 a seat before adding more people or in-depth studies; Fiuto's £19 and £49 plans are flat per account, not per seat.

02Can I build a Fiuto study from a coding agent instead of a web form?

Yes. Ask Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, v0, or Replit to draft and launch the study over Fiuto's MCP server, without leaving your editor, or use the plain web app either way. Lyssna has no published coding-agent or MCP integration, checked 27 July 2026.

03Does Lyssna include a recruited respondent panel?

Yes. Lyssna offers pay-per-use access to a panel of over 690,000 people with more than 395 demographic filters, alongside unlimited self-recruited responses on every plan. Fiuto only supports bringing your own respondents: no recruited panel, no per-seat pricing, no per-respondent fee. Invite as many of your own users as you like; how many responses each study collects still follows your plan (10 on Free, 100 on Core, unlimited on Pro). Results are readable in-app on every tier; raw export and the API open up from Core.

04Does Lyssna use AI to help build studies, or only to read the results?

Lyssna's AI features start on its Growth plan: AI follow-up questions during a study and AI summaries of the responses afterwards. Fiuto's AI is available from the free plan and drafts the whole study from a plain brief, then helps turn the responses into a shareable deck.

05Is Fiuto's AI only available on paid plans?

No. Every Fiuto tier, including Free, gets the full AI surface: drafting the study, analysing responses into findings, and building the insights deck. Free also runs the same Anthropic Claude models Fiuto uses on Pro; which model handles a task depends on the task itself, not on your subscription tier. Every tier runs the same drafting, single-study analysis, and deck-building actions; report depth then scales by tier, with Core and Pro returning more findings per study, and the cross-study overview opening up from Core. The first single-study analysis costs nothing in credits, once per account. Lyssna's AI features, by contrast, start on the paid Growth plan.

06Which testing methods does Lyssna support?

Card sorting, first-click testing, five-second testing, live website testing, preference testing, prototype testing, screen recordings, screeners, surveys, tree testing, and user interviews.

07How does Lyssna's review record compare with Fiuto's?

Lyssna holds a 4.5 out of 5 rating on G2 across 156 reviews and 4.6 out of 5 on Capterra across 87 reviews, checked 27 July 2026. Fiuto is newer and doesn't yet have a public review history to compare. Fiuto's answer to that gap is proof, not stars: a full study, start to finish, on the free plan before you spend anything.

08Is Fiuto's study data stored in the EU?

Yes. Study data, recordings, and analytics run on EU-hosted infrastructure.

09Can I share Fiuto results with people outside my team?

Yes, with no headcount limit. Publish a study, its results, its insights, or its deck behind a view-only link for as many people as you want. Inviting someone in to edit the study itself is the one thing that needs a paid plan.
